Dan Dainard

Presenter bio

Dan Dainard is the Owner and Director of Green Mark Engineering, a commissioning and building performance consultancy based in Perth, Western Australia. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Dan has supported major commercial and complex building projects across Australia, working with project teams through design review, construction, commissioning, integrated testing, and post-handover tuning.

Dan’s work focuses on improving the practical link between design intent, control system implementation, commissioning, and operational performance. He is particularly interested in evolving commissioning processes to better manage common project risk points, including BMS documentation, staged commissioning, practical completion readiness, and operational aftercare.

Dan is an active member of the AIRAH Commissioning Special Technical Group (STG) and contributes to industry discussions aimed at improving commissioning guidance and consistency across the construction and operational lifecycle.
