Presenter bio

Nicholas Walsh is the Integrated Prefabrication Modelling Coordinator at A.G. Coombs, where he plays a central role in the digital evolution of the company’s prefabrication and manufacturing capability. Working at the intersection of modelling, fabrication and digital engineering, Nick leads the development of model-based workflows that strengthen the connection between design intent and production-ready outputs. 

Building on A.G. Coombs’ long-standing commitment to prefabrication and innovation, Nicholas is advancing the next generation of digital tools and methods that support off-site manufacture. His work enables greater accuracy, consistency and repeatability across prefabricated assemblies and integrated services modules, supporting safer and more efficient delivery on complex projects. 

As a core contributor to A.G. Coombs’ Informed Design initiative, Nicholas helps embed structured, data-driven design practices into everyday project delivery. His focus is on standardising digital content, improving fabrication readiness, and ensuring that upstream design decisions translate into high-quality outcomes during manufacture and installation. 

Nicholas brings a practitioner’s perspective shaped by hands-on project experience, a strong technical foundation, and a clear focus on practical implementation. He also plays an important role in developing the next generation of talent by training and mentoring new drafting trainees entering the business.
