Presenter bio
Steven is a research fellow at the University of Wollongong’s Sustainable Buildings Research Centre (SBRC) with a background in mechanical engineering. His PhD project focused on energy consumption and occupant behaviours in Australian apartments, comparing assumptions in NatHERS against measurements.
He has research experience in building physics, sustainable building technologies, thermal storage, energy use in the built environment, and indoor environmental quality. His most recent work has focused on building physics problems related to heat and mass transfer in roofs and walls, including thermal bridging and ventilation airflows. His research has involved significant aspects of experimental testing, field studies, and mathematical modelling.
